Studebaker Avanti (1964)
for sale

Price: US $20,100.01

Description:

For sale is a 1964 Studebaker Avanti. This beautiful original Avanti is in excellent condition with 16, 554 well documented miles. Serial #R5543 was the last Studebaker engine powered Avanti produced in South Bend, Indiana. This fine example with serial #R5562 is one of the late productions built in October of 1963. The car was sold new to a customer in Tucson, Arizona on November 15, 1963, and remained there until 2006. I purchased the Avanti in 2007 and it has been garaged all it's life. The driveline is an R1 (289 cubic inches with 240 horsepower) automatic transmission with a 3.54 rear axle. The Avanti has power steering and power brakes, air conditioning (that works great) and tinted glass. When I purchased the car, I made the following repairs. NOS radiator, all new hoses, freeze plugs, water pump, valve stem seals, valve cover gaskets, belts, spark plugs, spark plug wires, points, condenser, cap, rotor, starter bendix, front shocks, master cylinder, steering seals, transmission service and seals, complete Don Simmons stainless steel exhaust system and exhaust manifold gaskets.I have driven this car less than 100 miles, as I have other Studebakers I take to shows. This car has lots of documentation from the original owner. The car has radial tires on it, and they make it drive like a dream. Also in the trunk is the original jack and jack handle. The winning bidder of this car will be as close as you can get to purchasing a new Avanti from a Studebaker dealer.
