Price: US $20,000.00
This is a pre-production year 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible , known as the highly sought after 64 1/2 mustang.Built in Dearborn Michigan with original D code 289 engine known as the hi-po. This is the predecessor to the K code, which makes it the one to own. Along with original engine, car has original complete drivetrain all the way to the 4 wheel drum brakes, however wheels are aftermarket and tires are coker dual redlines.. The carburetor and dual point distributor have been changed, I do have original distributor that goes with car but I don't have the carb. This mustang was bought new in May of 1964 and changed hands in November of the same year. The second owner owned the car for 50 years until we purchased it from the estate. It was restored about 20 years ago and was used primarily for charitable fund raising. I have every reason to believe that the miles are correct at only 44, 000 miles. This mustang has power steering, and power convertible top. Starts and runs good but with the narrow period correct tires it doesn't handle as smooth as it could. If this is used as a driver and not for car shows I would recommend replacing tires with radials. Body is solid with no rust, paint is nice but does have some nicks and signs of age in small areas. Interior is original and clean and top is good. Its a well documented nice driver/collector car that anyone could appreciate.
I require full payment in 7 days via cash or wire transfer. Pickup or shipping within 30 days and it will be kept indoors until then.
