Description:

1965 Land Rover 109 Series-IIa - 2.25L Gas Motor
Freshly imported from Alvito (São Pedro), Portugal.
84, 221 original miles.  No rust.  2.25L petrol engine and 4-speed manual transmission.  Sage Green with Alaska White tropical roof and wheels over immaculate black vinyl.  Original engine-driven capstan rope winch operates perfectly. New Zenith Carburetor installed November 2016, which saw the distributor rebuilt at the same time. The original Solex carburetor conveys with the truck, and needs rebuilding as the accelerator pump is leaking. Built in Solihull, England as a left-hand-drive export model for Portugal.  Three owners from new, all Land Rover aficionados.  Always garaged.  Same owner last 31 years, and still in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition after a older refurbishment.  Starts easily with just a little choke and runs strong and quiet with no smoke, noises or leaks.  Correct yellow Lucas headlamps and five new 7.0x16 tires and tubes.  Fantastic condition inside and out, with just the right hint of honest patina, and everything working as new. Conveys with a clear Virginia title.
Heritage certificate on hand: Truck was manufactured March 8th, 1965 in Solihull. Left the factory Bronze Green, and was destined for a dealer in Lisbon, Portugal.
VIN Note:
Vehicle was imported from Europe and eBay does not recognize the VIN. The correct VIN#, as it is on the Virginia title, is 25412130B
I have a full set of photos of the chassis, beyond what's shown in the limited number of photos we were able to post here. Please contact me for the album.
