Vehicle Description: Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this beautiful 1965 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. This car was produced out of the Superformance kit line and was built & assembled in 2008 by Reed Performance Motorsports. This car is truly a show stopper and the quality of the build is second to none. From bumper to bumper this car is in immaculate condition and features all high quality high-end parts on it. This car is powered by what started at as a Dart Aluminum 351 CiD V8 Windsor block that has been built up to a 412 CiD V8 by Bennet Racing. That beast of a powerplant is paired to a TKO-600 5-speed manual transmission with a twin-disc clutch, 3.43 gear ratio in the rear end & a Dana 60 Independent rear suspension set up. Every component on this car was new to the car when it was built & assembled in 2008 and have only 2810 miles thus far. Superformance has been turning out first class replicas for many years and they have put themselves at the top of the class for cars like this. Standard equipment on these builds include but not limited to;
A complete factory assembled rolling chassis. Vinylestere and glass composite body.
Show quality paint finishes with many standard colors. Fully independent front and rear suspension.
Tubular space frame constructed of mild steel. Limited slip differential.
Coil over progressive shocks & springs. Four-wheel vented disc brakes, power assisted calipers.
Power assisted rack and pinion steering. Aluminum radiator/oil cooler with dual electric fans.
Oil cooler and braided lines. 21-gallon stainless steel fuel tank. Side exit headers and side pipes.
Custom air conditioning system. 18 cast Alloy wheels. Tinted front, side and rear windows.
Stewart Warner electronic gauges. Remote door locks and immobilizer system.
Black leather and Alcantra interior. Eligible for the Shelby American Automobile Club owner’s registry.
Genuine Shelby CSX9000 chassis. Designed by original designers Peter Brock and Bob Negstad.
This car has so many nice upgrades and features over the standard equipment you need to see it to believe it. This car is almost too beautiful to drive but that is exactly what it was built for!! You can own this sweet machine for less than what it would cost to build it. Our pictures do not do the car justice but even though it is beautiful, it drives even better! With a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a quarter mile time of 11.8 seconds and a top speed of an estimated 204 MPH. This thing is ALL SHOW & GO!
