Car is a 65 body on 67 chassis with IRS conversion. I have the tunnel section from original chassis. Shell and doors were stripped bare and blasted. Many coats of DuPont Variprime epoxy primer. This body needed 0 metal and I have the pix to prove it.
Everything in the car works as it should. Every problem that beetles have, all have already been addressed here. Older restoration so you know it not going to fall apart. I have been over the mechanicals of this car with a fine tooth comb in past weeks.
Although there are a few small imperfections, the paint is excellent (see condition section). You will never find a bug with nicer paint work inside the louvers under the back window. Always covered and lovingly cared for.
It has dropped spindles and a lowered beam. Beam is currently all the way up. So car can go much lower especially since it's IRS rear. Trans is from a 74 super so it's a factory freeway flyer.

I have owned the car for 24 years and finally transferred title, registered and insured the car in 2010. It was in dry storage for many years of my ownership. Don't be afraid to ask questions or make offers. Car needs absolutely nothing. Can be taken straight to a car show.
Can assist with shipping to some extent but buyer responsible for shipping costs. Car is located not far from Port of Tampa and I can drive it there. Local pickup preferred. Can assist buyers who want to have the car evaluated locally. Car can be viewed on a lift. Will assist with car hauler pickup.

“Car is incredibly detailed. No undercoat and full show chassis. Underside of body is painted and detailed. Roof is extremely straight with no sign of ever being sat on or pushed in and popped out as so many beetles have. There are a few cosmetic flaws including: a scuff on the under side of the front apron which is not visible without laying on the ground to see. There is a scratch on the right front fender down low. There are 2 chips in the rear apron. None of these details take away from the car's stunning appeal however, I want to be completely forthcoming with all of the details so as not to be hiding or not disclosing all facts” |
