1966 Plymouth Valiant Convertible , Slant 6 Auto , 71101 showing on the odometer. The previous owner told me that it was restored in the early 1990's and was caught in a hail storm in the mid 1990's and has been sitting in storage until a few month back when I purchased it. This is very solid project over all. I filled the float bowl with gas and after priming the oil pump this car started right up and runs and sounds like it should no knocks leaks etc. I have driven it all around the lot and the trans also feels good and the brakes work good enough to stop it if you give them a pump or two but I would not take it out on the street. I blew air through the metal fuel lines and replaced the rubber line to tank connection and rubber line to pump connection and I put 3 gallons of fuel into the tank and have filled the float bowl 3 different times and let it idle and fuel is not getting to the filter so I think it may need a new fuel pump or I have not put enough fuel into it. The car has been sitting in my shop in the same spot for 2 weeks now and there are no leaks under it. The power top works good but will need to be recovered , The tires hold air but will need to be replaced and are not safe to be driven on. The driver side door glass is broke and will need replaced, all other glass is good including the windshield. This car is missing the radio and air cleaner and the gas cap is incorrect. The driver side armrest is removed but is in the trunk and looks to be in good condition. The rear floors will need some patches installed and it looks like the fronts have been patched at some point in time the rear frame rails and trunk look great and the pass side front rail looks good as well. The driver side front rail has some rust (see last pic) but its really not that bad. I would just weld a patch on it if even needed (see last pic.) Anyway those are the repairs that are needed that I have found so far and I'm sure there's probably more so
this car is being sold as is for parts or repair and can not be driven like it is
(maybe onto your trailer but I would not go any farther on these tires the pass side rear holds air but is in bad shape). This car is sold with a clean Missouri Title in my name. Please take your time and use the zoom feature on each pic so you can see the exact condition of what your buying and please feel free to ask questions and for more pics if needed before buying. If you are not able to pick it up right away as long as its paid for the car can sit until the end of the month or if more time is needed it can be stored for $50.00 per month (inside storage with a car cover on it)
