This is a Very Original 1968 Pontiac GTO garage find. This car is super solid and has no rust holes anywhere on the body or frame. Is an excellent restoration candidate. I restored a 69 GTO (frame off) a few years back and i couldn't pass this car up when it became available. It is a much better candidate than what I had back then. The two things that are not original on this car are of course the rims and the gauges that were added on the center console. This is a factory a/c car and the compressor was removed but goes with the car. has the factory Hurst auto shifter and matching numbers engine (block #642975 YS). Has the original Quadra jet carburetor, recently rebuilt. Car runs very strong. Interior is all original down to the 8 track, and all needs to be restored. I tried to take decent pictures of the body, undercarriage and floors. Also pictures of the vin and cowl tag. The floors under the carpet still look like new and under the doors, in the trunk as well as throughout the car are in remarkable condition. There is a small dent on the drivers side above the rear wheel well but this car will need very little body prep for new paint. The chrome on this car is all in exceptional condition with no pitting. The tires have hardly any wear on them but are aged from the car sitting. They hold air just fine and would be just fine during a resto but you would want fresh tires when its done. I am putting the car on the market unrestorred because i have two other cars that i am currently restoring. If i don't sell this car then I will restore it in the future. Again I can't stress enough the condition of this car and the originality. Exterior is the original Verdoro Green Metalic, which as you can see is faded and some minor surface rust in areas. Vynil top was also removed at some point but according to the cowl tag originally had a April Gold Poly. Also the top is in very good condition and does not have any big rust issues. All of the roof chrome is there and in excellent condition. There are also some new GTO emblems for the fenders, trunk and hood that will go with the car. The car was built in Arlington Texas and from what i understand spent a good part of its life in North Carolina. The previous owner passed away and apparently the car was sitting in the garage for some time. I have a clear Florida title for the car. I'll answer any questions that you may have . Thanks
