The AMX is a two-seat GT-style sports car that was produced by American Motors Corporation from 1968 to 1970. The AMX was also classified as a muscle car, but differed from other American cars at the time because of its short wheelbase. The name AMX is actually an acronym for American Motors eXperimental, which was a code assigned to concept vehicles in the mid-sixties. The AMX was also the... only American-built steel-bodied two-seater of its time, the first since the 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbird, and rivaled the only other two-seat American muscle car: the Chevrolet Corvette. With a short three-year production run, the AMX was discontinued in 1970, and was replaced by the Javelin from '71-'74. This classic AMX makes quite the statement with the Metallic Blue covering the cool and vintage bodylines and the silver racing stripes that continue the muscle car look. Under the hood of this beautiful car is the date code correct 390 V8 that has been meticulously maintained with just over 10, 000 miles on the rebuild and produces a loud rumble that will turn some heads every time the pedal hits the floor. The transmission is a 4-speed manual that shifts smooth throughout all gears. This AMX has had the same owner for 23 years and has been used as just a fair weather weekend cruiser since the rebuild in 1997. General Terms
AVAILABILITY: We advertise our inventory across multiple websites. It is best to inquire prior to purchase to assure the advertised vehicle is not already sold. Vehicles may be sold prior to listing end, and we reserve the right to end listings early or to cancel bids/offers solely at our discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.
AS-IS WHERE-IS: All vehicles are sold on an AS-IS WHERE-IS basis. Having a third party inspection and addressing any concerns is recommended prior to purchase. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to verify all options, accessories, and vehicle condition before time of sale. If purchaser chooses to waive inspection, the AS-IS WHERE-IS is still enforced. Any concerns will not be addressed post sale. PAYMENT: We require a non-refundable $1000 deposit within 24 hours of offer being placed. A deposit is a commitment to purchase and is applied towards the purchase price. The commitment to purchase is not contingent upon inspection, financing, or any other terms. Full payment is required within 7 days of offer acceptance, unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. If deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said time frame, all vehicles will be relisted and transaction will be considered void. We accept wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears), ACH, credit cards (for the agreed deposit amount only and will incur a 3% fee), and in person cash payments. We also offer vehicle financing, please inquire for details prior to making bids/offers. PayPal is not accepted. VEHICLE RELEASE: Signed purchase packet which shall include but not limited to the purchase contract, cleared payment in full, and a copy of your driver's license will be needed before the vehicle is released.
Fees and Taxes
Sales tax, title, license, registration, document fee, finance charges, and SMOG testing fees are in addition to the final purchase price. Buyer is responsible for said fees.
A $397.63 document fee will be added to the purchase price. All credit cards are charged a 3% fee.
