This is a factory Mach1 4speed R code 428 Cobra jet, shaker car. It started its life out as a Black Jade but was repainted back in the late 80's early 90's Candy Apple Red. The car has recently been freshened up after several decades of sitting. It has had head work done, new Cam, lifters and timing chain, carburetor rebuilt, new fuel lines and gas tank, new brakes, brake lines, brake hardware and master cylinder. Also suspension work, lower control arms, sway bar links and new shocks. The car was built in November 68, the engine is a build date of November 68. The VIN numbers have not been verified. Original shaker. The floors are solid, the front and rear frame rails are solid, both torque boxes are good, rear trunk pans are good and front shock towers are good. However the paint is old and several scratches, chips, small dings and blistering in both lower doors and lower rear quarter panel. The car presents itself very nice but one will want to paint this car in the future. The car runs and drives but will need front end alignment since new suspension work. Reverse lights do not work as there is no back up light switch installed. Interior is in decent shape but shows wear. The dash has cracks and the rear seat has a cigarette burn mark. Interior/ exterior lights all working. I have alot of paperwork and original build sheet for the car. All in all this is a decent driver car that can be greatly improved upon with a new paint job. Ready to be put into service.
