No, I cannot prove to anyone that it is truly a Mark Donohue Javelin but I believe it to be.
Body
The body on this car is in nice shape, mind you this is a driver car and not a 100 point restoration. The paint shines well, it has imperfections here and there but nothing major for being painted many years ago. The chrome seems to all been polished or replaced with new or refurbished. Nice shape overall. 73, 000 miles on the car are thought to be actual and is stated on title as actual.
Interior
The interior was all redone using Legendary interior products in the original black color as it came from the factory, new seat covers, the fiberglass headliner is up but it needs a new fabric cover, the carpet looks original and the dash pad seems to be in nice original condition as well. It has the rare factory rim blow steering wheel but it is not working presently, there are vendors that restore these steering wheels to like new condition on the internet.
Engine & Mechanicals
The car runs and drives very well (Again, it’s a driver) it has a new master cylinder, disc brakes (Bendix) were rebuilt recently, factory 4 barrel carb was rebuilt recently as well. It has its quirks like all nearly 50 year old cars do but nothing major that I know.
Overall
This would be a great car to buy, drive and restore while enjoying it or if you simply want a car to mess around and go to car shows now this could fit your needs too. I recommend anyone buying any car to look at it or hire someone to look at it in person and I will try to work with anyone to make this happen.
