This is a VERY RARE, LOW VIN... Original California Series 1 240Z in very good unrestored low mile condition. Classic Z car has been been well preserved and maintained. Offered from a private collection... I recently took this as partial trade on another of my Z cars. This is a very collectable and correct, early series 1 with a few minor tasteful enhancements for modern daily driving. March 1970 build date with rare series 1 features... vertical defrost, 20mph speedo, early console etc. Z's with these period correct features and options are quite rare, especially in this condition. A restoration was started and not completed... most of the heavy lifting has been completed including rebuilt motor, redone brake and fuel systems, suspension upgrades, etc. Great runner driver could be used as is or taken to next level and beyond. I have most of the parts needed for any direction... I'd be willing to do a package deal with interested parties. Excellent opportunity for an astute buyer here... weekend cruiser or addition to any collection. . daily driver if you like while it increases in value.
Body is nice and straight... no collision damage that I can see... and mostly Rust Free. Fit and finish are quite good. Typical rust areas are solid... floors appear to have had some patching from the top side and doglegs had some work...
Interior is quite good as well. Seats are in great shape with only 2 seam splits on the drivers side. Original vinyl looks good... Carpet is new. Installed panels are good and have most if not all of anything missing. I assume dash is cracked under the covered area but looks quite good.
L24 Motor is rebuilt and starts, runs, and idles excellent. Super responsive and nicely tuned. 4 Speed trans shifts smooth through the gears. Suspension feels tight and handles well. Suspension has lowering springs and newer struts... feels tight and redone brakes stop straight and sure. EXCELLENT driver. Extensive recent Freshening, service and tune... ready to roll!
Overall this is a Rare little classic Z in good condition all around... Awesome weekend cruiser, potential show car, or addition to any collection. I am a Z collector... this is a great one for any Z car enthusiast, collector, or anyone looking for a cool vintage sports car at a great price.
