MG MGB Base (1970)
for sale
Price: US $16,000.00
Price: US $16,000.00
Beautiful 1970 MGB roadster for sale with 38, 000 actual
miles. A top flight /
quality British sports car that has receive a full restoration to perfection. Glenn’s MGB & Restoration did a vast majority of the work and a binder with all receipts and details will be included with the sale.
1970 was a highly desirable year for the Mark II series. Out of the 31, 400 production, only
22, 500 came over to North America for both the MGB / GT model. This would be 4.5% of total production over
the 18 years, not to mention it being the only that
MG offered the split rear (or quarter) chrome bumpers which only enhances the MKII series. It also came with an aluminum bonnet (hood) versus the heavy steel ones that were offered in years prior.
The Torch Red paint sparkles and shines with a deep luster. I kept the original chrome bumpers because they are in very good condition; however, there is some slight pitting due to age. Moss and others carry the front replicas, but the splits are no longer offered. There is absolutely no rust on the body or undercarriage, and the photos represent the impeccable condition. It starts, shifts and performs efficiently on all levels without incident. I would not hesitate to drive it cross Country, it's that tight.
