This is a rare and beautifully restored numbers matching, Oldsmobile 442 W-30 with the optional aluminum W-27 differential (not some fancy cover). Car is 100% numbers matching and one of approximately 355 cars that received the Aluminum differential. In today's market the rear alone is valued between $12-$15, 000. The Olds underwent a no expense spared, total nut and bolt restoration, which was just completed in early 2016. This W-30 is as fine a car as the day it came off the Lansing, Michigan assembly line. Only 500 miles has been clocked on the odometer since its completion. Always garage kept and never driven in inclement weather.
It is my understanding that Oldsmobiles produced at the Lansing, MI plant did not have build sheets, as many GM cars did, only an IBM punch card which showed the options put into the 442. Yes the VIN does indicate the car is a 442, but unfortunately no other documentation accompanies the car.
This Olds runs and drives as good as it looks, no disappointments.
I will repeat. .. all of the numbers match, but there is no documentation. See photos (engine # looks reverse because it was taken using a mirror).
