FOR Sale: 1970 Plymouth GTX Tribute.
Started out as a Satellite sport.
The original color was green, but now it is plum crazy.
New vinyl top. Has been stored in a heated garage for almost 20 years.
I purchased it a couple years ago and haven't done anything with it - so I recently decided to sell it.
Has a 383 (not original) with two Edelbrock 600 cfm 4 barrel carburetors, mounted on an original cast iron intake.
It has an electric fuel pump.
I bought the car from a paraplegic, and it still had all the hand controls in it when I bought it. I took them out. The only way it can be started is with a spring loaded switch because the previous owner could not turn the ignition. Engine literally has maybe 50-100 miles on it.
It has headers and dual exhaust, 727 trans, a 4:10 Dana posi rear-end.
Electronic ignition. Car runs GREAT. Real smooth. You don't have to run race fuel, it runs on pump premium. It does not have a great big cam in it, it is a mild cam.
Throttle is very responsive.
All new brakes all the way around.
I didn't get a chance to adjust them properly all the way - as you can see in the pictures there is snow on the ground here. They might be fine the way they are, I am just saying there is a possibility they may need to be adjusted.
Every light works. Air-grabber hood is fully functional. When you start it, if you turn the air-grabber switch on, the scoop opens, if you turn switch off, the scoop shuts. Works great.
You would have to be a mopar freak to know the difference between this car and a GTX, and you can get this car for LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE OF A TRUE GTX.
Really nice tires. I've never even really driven it - just pulled it in and out of my garage. The man I got it from said the front end was all tight.
