Up for Sale is a really beautiful 1970 Triumph Stag MK I Convertible. Pretty rare car here in the US. A lot has been invested in this build and is a blast to drive to the car shows or keep has an investment. It’s been in a private collection and is now for sale. Car is perfect for parades, car shows, or rent for photo shoots & movies.
The Triumph has various options such as Power steering, power... brakes, wire wheels, Radio, Heater, wood grain trim, woodgrain steering wheel, disc brakes, and etc….The Triumph is powered by it’s 3.0L V8 engine with a 4 speed transmission. Car moves really quick!
History: Envisioned as a luxury sports car, the Triumph Stag was designed to compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz SL. To help cement it in the public eye it would be driven by James Bond in 'Diamonds Are Forever'. In fact Aston Martin objected that the Stag V8 sounded better than their DBS, so they demanded an overdub with a different engine.
All Stags were four-seater convertible coupes, but for structural rigidity and to meet new American rollover standards of the time, the Stag required a B-pillar 'roll bar' hoop connected to the windscreen frame by a T-bar. A removable hardtop was a popular factory option for the early Stags, and was later supplied as a standard fitment.
The new Triumph V8 was enlarged to 2997 cc to help the car fulfill its roll as a grand tourer.
The interior on the Triumph is very nice black upholstery through out. All the windows roll up and are very nice. The woodgrain throughout the interior is in excellent shape, including the little gauges. All the door jams are really nice. Check out all my pictures of the car including underneath, solid floor pans and rails. Very solid car.
This car is in excellent condition and very comfortable & fun to drive. You’d better get used to a crowd forming around you with this car wherever you go. The paint job shows extremely well. The Body is straight as an arrow. All doors are all aligned like they should.
