Description:

Ex Petersen Automotive Museum Foundation Car
Last of the S2s series known as the Type 65, fitted with it's correct R 16 TL 1565 cc engine and Officially Imported US specification Lotus Europa S2s.
Contemporary road tests for the Europa S2 recorded a top speed around 120 mph (195 kph), 0-60 times of 9.3 secs,
standing 1/4 mile times around 16.7 secs, and an overall fuel economy around 30 mpg (9.4 L/100 km)
This particular model received a total mechanical and cosmetic restoration prior to being acquired in 2011 by the Petersen, and has covered less than 2k miles since. If you attend the regular Cars and Coffee events at the Petersen Museum, then you will recognize that the car was photographed atop the Petersen Museum roof, and may even have seen it in the Vault during a special Tour. From the rebuilt original engine, to the refurbished wheels with new tires, this car is in spectacular condition throughout, all new rebuilt mechanicals, detailed rebuilt engine, wonderfully original interior, this is probably the nicest Lotus S2 available today, and with incredible pedigree.
