Pontiac GTO (1971)
for sale
Price: US $0.99
Price: US $0.99
Last time this was on auction the bid made it to $4, 050, which was below the reserve. I have set the auction 1 more time plus added a buy now price, I can part it back out for over $4, 000 the original hood and fenders alone are worth that. Do your homework and lets see if we can do a little better this round. Good luck to all who look and bid I would like to see this go to a good home but I can always hold onto it until I am ready to finish. Thanks for looking and again, Good Luck.
For Sale my 1971 GTO hardtop couple ordered with the automatic on the column, rare to see in the GTO for this year. I bought this GTO in 2009 to restore back to new for my daily driver, I just recently had to change jobs and due to finances I am willing to put the goat on the market to see what happens. This is one of the solidest goats your will find as I took the right road in its restoration. I have over 120 pictures of the GTO's work on my Facebook listing opened to the public under my name Victor Strunk so you can see addition photos. Info on the car listed below,
1971 GTO 400ci auto on the column with pb, ps, a/c, disc brakes in front drumb brakes in rear with the safety trac rear end. All metal work has bees replaced with new metal floors, fenders, quarterpanels and trunk floor. New wheel wells front and back, original hood in excellent condition, new rear bumper, new front and rear valances, new trunk lid, new deck filler panel, new speaker tray for rear window, all new window channels on front and rear windows. All work was done by professional custom shops here in Ohio, we have two of the best here. I can email more pics if they can't be seen on my Facebook site. There are tons of extra parts that go with the vehicle, the only parts that did not come with the GTO when I purchased it was the following, Motor and trans, front windshield and the front bench seat were the 3 things missing from the GTO. I have alot of the motor parts both new and used just don't have the motor or trans itself.
This is a great vehicle for the right person to finish the last of the restoration on, I know there were a little over 2, 000 of the hardtop automatics made in 71, this being ordered a auto on the column just drives the number lower and makes it more valuable to the right person. Thanks for looking and good luck, I do have a reserve on the auction with over $25, 000 in work done to the GTO so far to get it back to its original and showroom status I can't let it go too cheap even though the bill collectors are knocking at the door. And with owning Gto's all my life I know the value they have.

P.S. if you are from the Cincinnati, Oh. area you may be familiar with the shops that have done all the work so far to the GTO, you can check out Boitnotts Custom Autobody and Paint shop out in Fairfield, Ohio. And Cornfield Customs Ltd. in the Loveland, Ohio area out they both have a site on Facebook. I was quoted about $5, 000 to finish the GTO up to getting it ready for paint, with the body shimming and lining up again this quote is to take it bake to better than new condition for my daily driver. If a buyer wins the auction they can do whatever they want with the price if they don't have to take it to a professional shop, Boitnotts is the best in Ohio. You can see there work at a booth at Calvacade Customs in Cincy this weekend.

This model was produced in the month of June of 1971 so any 1971 400c.i. motor you find to put in the GTO will be considered the original motor according to Pontiac specifications. Any motor withing 6 mos, of the production date works this way so it can be put back to its original motor status. Just trying to get as much info to interested buyers as I can.

P.S. Before I had the last run of work done to the GTO I had Boitnotts Custom Autobody and Paint put the GTO in primer and it was coated with an epoxy to protect it from the elements while awaiting the final round of work. Also while at Boitnotts the GTO was completely taken apart and acid dipped and sandblasted to get out all the impurities.
