I have owned this Datsun 240z for going on 12yrs, during that time I have changed almost 90% of the vehicle. I built this car not for the track but to be a fun street car that had the
look and feel
of the 70's daily driven 240z that would of been at the track on weekends. I have all original front airdam pieces to go back to a stock look(color matched Omaha Orange) if so desired.
Brakes-
front have been swapped in favor of the toyota pickup calipers with 240z rotors, rears have been swapped for the msa stage 2 rear disc brakes with the drilled/slotted rotors, 280zx brake master cylinder, 240z brake booster.
Clutch-
centerforce stage 2 clutch with fidanza aluminun flywheel and 280z clutch collar, tilton clutch master cylinder, oem nissan slave cylinder
Suspension-
eibach 1 lowering springs, tokico illumina gas shocks, suspension techniques anti-roll bar on the front have rear (not installed), cusco front/rear strut tower bars
Body-
paint and body work done at hot rodz paint and body in starke off 301, msa no duct front air dam, bre style rear lip spoiler, zg style fender flares(body matched paint), california style door mirrors, custom bumpers made by previous owner, its not perfect its developed some dents and scrapes while in the shop.
Rims-
konig rewind 16x7 with yokohama advan ad08 tires (4), also 4 original rims with 1 spare
Interior-
msa 5 piece sectional loop carpet, floor mats with Z emblem, deck mat with Z emblem, thezsource new center console, new shift boot, new transmission tunnel trim, momo competition steering wheel( not installed), msa weatherstripping kit, quarter window plastic trim, quarter trim, full face dash cap, msa short pig tail fuse box swap, msa 6-point bolt-in roll cage romoved the sleeves turning it into a roll bar after hitting my head on the roof bar bolt head while driving on the street.
Engine-
L28e( f54 block; P79 head) pulled from a 1979 280zx, 240z 4 speed trans, R-180 rear differential, Bob Sharp Racing 4 barrel intake manifold, Holley 390cfm 4 barrel carb, points distributor, points distributor with pertronix electronic ignition swap, msa 3 row aluminum radiator w/ dual electric fans(only one installed, wired to battery and switch in cab), 60amp alternator swap, msa 3-2 tbc coated header, muffler shop exhaust(I do have the original motor, S.U. side draft carbs to go back if you so desire)
