Car has 72, 665 miles. Bought in Tennessee two years ago and brought home in 2 trailer loads. Spent about two years putting the car back together and getting it running. Car still has original orange paint as you can see in pictures for the engine bay and inside of the car. Took most of the body down to bare metal and rust primered it to preserve it. Car is all original except for the front in urethane piece. (i still have the front valances and bumpers). The rear louver is Hammond and its metal. Car has 1.4 engine in it with 4 speed transmission. The car does not currently run because the gas tank setup I had was hazardous but the car ran great and had no smoke when driving it through the summer. Tacometer works but the rest of the gauges don't. Has your typical floor pan rust and light rust in the hatch part where it touches the light valence.
Questions:1. Does the car have original engine and transmission? Yes it has the inline 6 1.4 liter engine with 4 speed manual transimission2. Does the car smoke? No it drove fine and i replaced all the fluids and did a minor tune up3. How bad is the rust? It has one spot in the passenger side wheel arch thats about 2 inches wide but other than that the frame rails and control arms are solid. The floor pans have your typical rust and need to be replaced4. How bad is the rust in the trunk hatch? It has a little surface rust but nothing noted of patch welding5. How good is the interior? The diamond leather is still in place around the transmission tunnel and the rear shock area. The carpet is still in the car buts its a little rough, the seats need to be refurbished but the head liner is good6. There is a few spots where the owner before me used fiberglass bondo on the doors and i left as is.7. Does it currently run? No the car had a hazardous plastic fuel tank where the spare will was stored cuz the owner before me removed the original gas tank due to rust. I took the tank out since it was dangerous.
