Description:

This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is no buy it now price. It takes time, money and effort to post on here, so serious buyers only please! Only bid if you fully intend to close the deal at the end of the auction. If you are the highest bidder at the end, you bought it!
This is a running, driving scout that has some good options and features, including the 345 v-8 with dual exhaust and a 2 bbl manual choke Holley carburetor, newer distributor with an aftermarket electronic ignition. It has a 4 speed manual transmission, Removable top with roof rack, power /tilt steering, 4 wheel drive with locking hubs. It has steel wheels with new 31x10.5 inch tires with less than 2 miles on them. The truck also has a new electric fuel pump and some fuel lines. The front bench seat and rear bench have been reupholstered in black vinyl with custom diamond stitching and and red piping. It has new door seals and windshield to top seal recently installed. Steering column has a new turn signal switch and custom steering wheel.
The brake system has a new master, front and rear slave cylinders, new front and rear soft lines, Leaf springs have been replaced at some point, still have stickers on them.Custom front bumper was installed along with new tail light lenses.
The body is in good condition in my opinion, no rot or major damage found, a few dings/imperfections here and there. The floors are very good, no patches found. Super solid cab mounts and frame. This is about as rust free as a scout gets! Being in North Texas, off the road and away from salted roads probably contributed to it's solid structural condition.
The engine starts right up, (you may have to use the manual choke, depending on weather) not too loud, new plug wires/ air filter were just installed.
It was last registered in the 1990's! It has not been driven much/far/fast since. Odometer is showing something like 9k miles. The odometer has been replaced because the lens was damaged, that odometer/this scout read 86k. I have no paperwork to confirm if original or not, but it must be pretty low for sitting that long. This truck is almost 50 years old, and may need some adjusting/finishing/tinkering, A good once over, if you will! The passenger side seat belt retractor is in-op, so is the horn. It's missing jack/handle/tire iron. Needs new wiper blades too. It is not perfect, not a show truck, and it is not a new Toyota, but will get plenty of attention and would make a great toy! You are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal! If you are the high bidder at the end of the auction, you bought it! Therefore the $300 deposit through Paypal is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable. You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see it before the auction ends and I will do my best to accommodate you. Make sure you have the funds and the blessing from any significant other before bidding! Be sure to note that the buyer is responsible for shipping. Fresh Texas Title in hand. Thanks for looking!
