DEALER # 8690 is very proud to offer for sale, this absolutely beautiful and completely original 1972 AMC Javelin SST. At cool Classic Rides, we are very fond of the unique qualities of AMC. They were a very cool and very different car manufacturer. We have looked all over the country for the very best examples of the AMC line up. We have owned many Javelins in the past few years; however this is hands down...  the very finest example of a completely original 1972 Javelin that we have ever seen. This is a one owner car that was purchased new in eastern Washington State. It was only driven until 1978, at which time it was garaged, and did not see the sun again until approximately 3 months ago. When I say this is a garage find, it truly is. This is an original miles car, with only 59, 908 miles. We also have the original 1972 title that goes with the car. This amazing time capsule was purchased from the grandson of the original owner. His grandmother bought the SST new in 72, and drove it until her Mom could no longer get in and out of it. That was early 1978, this 1972 piece of American heritage, did not move from the garage again until very recently. When we were given the opportunity to purchase this beauty, we jumped on it. These kinds of cars just don’t exist anymore. We took the tank out, cleaned and reinstalled, we had the Carburetor rebuilt on the original 304 V8 engine, replaced all plugs and wires, dumped and replaced all fluids, added a battery , and she fired up effortlessly. This amazing car still has her original carpet, original interior, original dash (in perfect shape) even the original AM radio that works perfectly. Every light, including, map lights, door lights, and door ajar buzzer work, like new. This is also a factory AC car, which is very rare in a 72 Javelin. The AC turns and engages, but will need filled and serviced. On the inside , this is basically like a new car, the center console, looks great, all the wood grain on dash and doors, are perfect, the door panels, and armrests are perfect, and most important, THEY ARE ALL ORIGINAL. On the outside, this beauty is wearing 100% of its original paint. We had it cut, buffed, and polished, and other than a few scrapes, dents and scratches, the paint on the car still has an original shine. It is unbelievable, what the chrome on the bumpers looks like, all trim is great, Bumpers look great, and she is wearing her original AMC hubcaps. Remember you cannot reproduce original. It is only that way once. The vinyl tops were dry and cracked, so we had them replaced with new, correct tops. I could go on and on about this car, It is one of the finest examples of an un-restored 1972 car, that I have ever seen, anywhere. It runs and drives great, and it looks amazing. This great investment car, is even wearing its 1970s Bias ply tires. If you are looking for a great investment opportunity car, or just looking for a great original car, that nobody else will ever have. This is the one.
