This is the story with this Opel, I bought it from the original owner son. He told me that his Dad bought the car brand new on an extinct Buick dealership in El Paso Texas drove it for 12 years, and then past away. The son didn't like the Opel and was not interested at all so the car spent 35 years under a tree until I found it and bought it. I had big plans with it I wasn't sure if I wanted to put a 4.3 vortec or putting a 350 on it, later found out that I would need major modifications in order to fit a 350 or even a 4.3. So I decided to go stock with the 1.9 but I work 6 days a week with 12-14 hrs shift so its very hard for me to work on it. I had a limited budget to work on it so I cant pay someone to do it. So thats why I need to part ways from it. I never seen any other on the road. You see quite a few Opel GTs but never a 1900 Manta.
The car is very rust free but it shows a bit of rust on the hood side and rear passenger side it also needs some body work on the rear driver side, I couldn't fin any bondo or fiberglass on the car, The glass is all intact, all parts are included engine seems to be locked i couldn't turn it by hand, but again I never had a lot of time to work on it. Floors are in great shape as well as corners and frame. El Paso Texas Weather is very similar to the Phoenix AZ weather. We have extreme summers but rarely snow or icy conditions
