About this vehicle This 1972 Renault R-16 is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is not regularly driven. Vehicle Details This is a barn find 1972 Renault R16 bought at an estate, judging by the state of the vehicle the 49, 000 original miles seems correct. It does not appear to have ever been repainted and does not have any substantial dings among the body. It does have a couple of surface rust areas where paint has flaked away as seen in photos. The car does run, although needs carb work. It does not like to idle without the choke pulled out. It shifts smoothly and brakes very nice. The comfort of this vehicle is unlike any I’ve drove before.
Exterior (Apologies for the snow) Exterior is very clean, very minimal rust the most substantial being right above the passenger side headlight Interior Interior is very clean, very minimal use and no cracks/tears in leather or dash. Engine The spare is currently in the trunk to clear up space while I was working under the hood, I replaced the mechanical fuel pump with an inline electric fuel pump to get it running, Download the Motors app
