Description:

A rare 1973 AMC AMX with 401, auto Go Pak option, Trans Am Red exterior paint. It is a rare Pierre Cardin interior car but the seats, headliner and door panel overlays are gone. I do have seats out of a '74 Javelin that go with it. Other options include A/C, P/S, P/DB, tinted glass, Visibility group, front spoiler (missing) , and (missing or replaced) factory AM/FM 4-speaker stereo and 15x7 Slot style wheels. Front bumper and grille are gone also.
The car was driven new until it was hit about 30 years ago. Has 73k original miles and has sat in a virtual time warp for 30 years but parked outside. Over the years thieves removed the hood and air cleaner, emblems, door tag, rear spoiler, wheels and a few other things. I put a Javelin hood on it to keep it covered.
The good: A very rare car! . Very clean car rust wise. Only a section of the rear left seat pan and a spot on the top left of the roof (looks like someone ground down the paint and left it). Clear title, Dash and panels are in good shape but missing a few interior panels. I have removed most of the interior (all except the dash) but it does go with the car.
The bad: Needs total restoration. Hit on the right side and quarter and door need replacing ( I have a door for replacement). The right rear axle shaft is also bent. I have a good rear axle from a '74 Javelin that goes with it also. Not running, missing some parts.
The good again. I do have the rear window glass, rear bumper in pretty good shape and the lower rear valance. The engine compartment is very clean with only some surface rust around the battery tray. The engine is stuck from sitting. I haven't attempted to loosen it up. Most everything is there.
An extremely rare car worthy of restoration.
