Hello. Selling this for a client who is thinning out part of his collection, so keep an eye out for other vehicles for sale in the future.
This is a 1973 Datsun 240z that was sold new in California and has the original blue plates (front and rear). Has always been a California car and has no rust. This car starts as soon as you touch the key and idles like a dream. Revs freely and drives very smooth without any hiccups.
Always garaged.
My client is unsure about the actual mileage of the car. The odometer reads 57k miles and the previous owner did store the car for 17 years from 1993 to 2010 before my client bought it.
Under my client's ownership, only 600 miles were put on the car as he drove it occasionally to shows.
The car recently got refreshed with a complete brake job including all 4 new brake hoses, both proportion valves were rebuilt like new, new rear wheel brake cylinders, new shoes, new drums, all new pads.
All fuel hoses and breather hoses for the engine were replaced, carburetors were rebuilt, new water pump, brand new alternator (not rebuilt), new belt, new spark plugs, spark plug wires.
Has the L28 engine which runs flawlessly and strong
Fresh oil change and full coolant flush with fresh coolant.
All new bushings, tie rods, stabilizer bar bushings, car drives tight with no play in steering.
New windshield and new window gaskets. Tires were replaced recently and are still in new condition with a ton of tread.
Original interior with the exception of new carpet, door panels, and front seats upholstered which were done 5 years ago.
My client had these repairs done in hopes to keep the car for himself to drive on weekends but has chosen to sell it.
Car will come with an extra intake air cleaner and receipts are available for above repairs.
I have pictures of every factory sticker on the car (door jamb stickers, engine bay and hood stickers) I also have a video of cold starting the car, light revving, and driving videos both inside and outside the car.
I also have pictures of parts replaced like suspension bits, braking system, new alternator, belt, etc.
This car really drives as it should, suspension feels solid, brakes work very well, and engine runs strong and smoothly the way an inline 6 cylinder was designed to run. This car likes to be driven.
Bumpers were chromed and polished.
Paint is 15 years old but very good still with exception of a few blemishes but body lines are straight and looks great as shown in pictures.
