Come on people! Have you any idea of how rare it is to actually find one of these cars that are truly numbers matching AND with NEVER any rust? This is a very nice 73 numbers matching 340, 4-Speed, Rallye car. It is equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes, rallye dash and console. It has ALL original sheet metal and has had NO RUST EVER! Trunk, floorboards, etc, all original and in great condition. It shows very nice in the pictures and from a distance, but trust me, it has plenty of flaws. Deserving and in need of a good complete restoration. Interior has been somewhat cosmetically restored, and has been kept in good mechanical operating condition. This is a typical 1980s era restored/modified car. The car is now a metallic blue color with incorrect striping applied. It also shows evidence of having been painted Plum Crazy at some time in the past. Correct exterior color is GK6 Bronze with Black Rallye strobe stripes and white interior. I purchased the car about 15 years ago and have kept in a climate-controlled garage and have driven it very little in all the time I have owned it. I simply kept it running and made minor repairs and restored certain items. I have had other E bodies during this time and currently have two cudas and just have not gotten around to restoring this one. The interior was black when I bought it. I have since restored the interior with new carpet, door panels, seat covers, headliner, sun visors, pillar post moldings, etc. The dash was recovered back when replacements and reproductions were not available. It has no cracks but would simply look better with a new repro dash pad. All seatbelts are in place and in good condition. Console, console plate, pistol grip handle, boot, ring, etc. all in good condition. Trunk is complete with spare tire (with Rallye wheel), complete jack, trunk mat. etc. The car as seen in the pictures currently has Centerline solid (1980s era) wheels, but I have a complete set of original rallyes with correct nut-type center caps that I will put on the car if sold. I will keep the Centerlines. It has a new engine wiring harness. All other wiring appears to be in fair condition at this time, i.e. everything works. Glass and trim are in fair condition. Mechanically, the car runs excellent and shifts smoothly with new clutch assembly. You would think that the little 240 hp motor would be tired, but it will spin the wheels from a roll, without even dropping the clutch! I have started the engine sometimes after sitting for six months, and once it starts the first time, it does not die, just keeps running. ..The car is mostly original and mostly correct with the following exceptions:
Incorrect Body color and stripesIncorrect wheels (but I will furnish correct ones with car)Aftermarket Edelbrock aluminum manifold (I have correct one for the car)72 auto Thermoquad (Sorry, you are on your own with this one)Incorrect air cleaner (I have the correct one) Aftermarket valve covers (I have correct one)Incorrect fanAluminum water pumpAftermarket StereoI'm sure there are some other small items

“Small dent on driver's side front fender. Two small screw holes in roof where someone used screws too long for dome light assembly. Typical wear for a unrestored 43 year old car. The car is not perfect and is sold AS IS! Deserves a complete restoration.” |
