1973 Triumph TR6 Convertible with 4 speed manual transmission. The odometer reads 4, 750 miles but I'm sure that the mileage exceeds the mechanical limits of the odometer. This car is a solid driver that starts, stops, runs fine, and shifts smoothly. The clutch is tight and does not slip and the brakes strong. Tires are in good shape. Car starts and idles beautifully. Ignition and starter system components in good shape. All lights and gauges in operating order with the exception of night running/tail lights in the rear (tail light wire insulation between light switch and fuse exposed), blinkers (needs switch), and fuel gauge. The car will need interior work (currently no carpet or interior door skins) and a new top. The convertible top frame is in good shape. Comes with snap on vinyl top boot/cover and snap on vinyl tonneau cover in great shape. Interior seems to be in decent shape. The wood dash is in need of refurbish due to cracking clear coat, but the wood itself is fine. Car comes with 2 sets of 3 keys.
This TR6 is a good candidate for a driving restoration. The benefit of buying this over a similar TR6 is that you can see the condition of the floorboards. Although there is some surface rust, I have found minimal pin holes which can be left alone or patched at your discretion. The chrome bumpers are in decent shape. Both windows are in good shape and crank up and down with no issues. The body is in amazing shape. The panels are solid and I haven't found any signs of body rust. The paint is in overall good condition with some cracks (left side behind door and left rocker panel). The frame appears to be in decent shape, but have noticed two holes on right side near back bumper that will need repair. The other frame rail looks fine. (See photos)
This TR6 comes with new seat belts (in packaging and original jack and tire iron. I have not inspected the car down to every nut and bolt, so you are more than welcome to inspect the vehicle or have someone inspect it for you prior to bidding. I reserve the right to sell the vehicle locally prior to the end of the auction.
PAYMENT AND SHIPPING POLICYA deposit equal to 20% of the winning bid amount is required and must be received within 2 business days following the successful end of auction. Wire Transfer or Certified Cashier's Check sent via FedEx / USPS (or similar 2 day service) will be accepted. The balance will be due within 7 business days of auction end. The only acceptable method of final payment will be wire transfer, cash (in person) or certified bank or cashiers check. Both the vehicle and title will be released ONLY upon verification and clearance of funds, regardless of method of payment. Please be advised that clear title to this vehicle will be provided.
All fees associated with vehicle transportation, shipping, transfer of ownership, taxes, registration, title and state inspection (if required) are the responsibility of the winning bidder. Please check with your state or local jurisdiction for fees and rules for safety inspection specific to your geographic area. Shipping arrangements and costs will be the responsibility of the winning bidder. I will do everything possible on my end to help facilitate this process and make the car available when desired during normal business hours. You would also be welcome to pick your TR6 up here in Enid, OK. Best of luck!
