1974 Alfa Romeo Giulia GT, VIN AR3025556. 37, 727 miles
Amaranth Red (maroon / burgundy). Believed to be a West Coast Alfa, restored in 2015 in CA, and brought to the East Coast in 2016.
This Alfa, finished in the rare and desirable Amaranth Red, is a real beauty. The recent paint work shows beautifully, not only on the exterior panels, but on the engine compartment, trunk and interior as well. Interior has been restored with new carpet, front and rear seat upholstery, door panels, and headliner. The brightwork is in excellent condition with new front grilles and badges. New Alfaholic GTA replica wheels with new tires installed. Stock engine starts easily and runs smooth and strong. The Original Spica fuel injection is in place with a new (rebuilt by Wes Ingram) thermostatic actuator and new modern electric fuel pump. The transmission shifts easily and precisely with no grinding or improper sounds. It also has factory AC. Compression on all 4 cylinders is between 150-155.The cylinder head is dry at the gasket area, and, looking through the spark plug holes, appears to have had a recent valve grind. The original fuel tank is clean and coated inside. Recent work (since 2015 purchase) includes, the aforementioned thermostatic actuator and main fuel pump and hoses, Spica pump filter change and pump flush (with engine oil). New stock exhaust system, hangers, etc. new ignition switch. Complete front suspension rebuild including adjustable upper control arms, lower control arm bushings, idler arm bushings, lower ball joints, 6 steering rod ends, etc. New motor mounts. New clutch slave cylinder. New gasket and pinion seal on rear differential, Red Line synthetic gear oil. Proper Red Line gear oil changed into transmission. Castrol GTX 20W-50 engine oil. The car has just been thoroughly gone through (Scuderia Performente) and is flawless. Restoration documents are available along with pictures.
