You are bidding on a 1974 Alfa Romeo Sprint GTV. This car has had two owners prior to me, both of whom owned the car in excess of 20 years. It only has 54, 000 miles showing on the odometer and is a completely numbers matching car with the original engine and transmission still in it.
The car is very complete. Although the second owner, an engineer, removed most of the trim items in anticipation of doing a complete restoration about 2 years ago, everything he removed was itemized and stored in separate boxes so as not to lose anything. After inventorying everything, I could find nothing missing except the windshield, which had a large crack in it and was discarded. All the interior and exterior trim pieces, door handles, escutcheons, and other doodads are all present and original.
All the soft trim, such as upholstery, paneling, front and rear seats, etc, is all still with the car and is in usable condition.
I have not tried to turn the engine over, but the car was apparently running two years ago.
The car does not appear to have ever been in any type of accident or fender bender. There is some primer sprayed here and there on it, but this was used to cover exposed metal and prevent rusting.
Rust on this car is not a major issue. There are some small rust holes at both lower edges of the windshield and at the bottoms of both rear quarter windows in the area under the chrome trim (which was removed, as seen in the pictures.) There is some rust here and there in the rockers that will not require replacement panels, only minor patching. The floors, trunk, and fender wells are in very good condition and will not require any rust repair panels either.
I expect payment within 5 days of the end of the auction. The car can be picked up after your check has cleared my bank. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Buyer will be given a Bill of Sale only for this car as Georgia is a non-Title state for cars older than 1985. There is
NO TITLE
for this car. However, I would be willing to obtain a current Georgia Registration from the DMV for an additional $100 if you are in a state or country that requires a Title. (Since Georgia is a non-Title state for cars this old, a current GA Registration is the same as a Title in states that issue Titles.) (EBay does not have an option box for “Bill of Sale Only”, so disregard the “Clear Title” option in their heading.)
