1974 ROAD RUNNER
This car has seen limited use it's entire life and shows it's been well cared for. The tires date decades ago and are half worn witch indicate very little use in the past quarter century. This car retains much of its originality that it was born with.
It has recently been repainted to a high quality. The sides are laser straight. The doors, hood, and trunk align and fit properly. The glass throughout is nice. The rubber mouldings are soft and in good condition. The chrome is exceptional. The vinyl top fit and finish is excellent. The underside is solid with no patch panels and no apparent repairs.
The interior appears to be original. The factory seat belts are still nice. The headliner, seats and door panels are in remarkable condition. The carpets have been replaced. The dash is not cracked and has original gauges, steering wheel and radio.
The 400 Magnum engine starts easy, runs like a watch and has tremendous acceleration. This is the same motor that was in the car when it was new. (Matching VIN number) The 4 speed and clutch work well with the factory shifter. Nice to drive, smooth and tight steering. It has power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning and and optional HD suspension.
This is one of only 280 cars built in 1974 with a big block 400 engine that were equipped with a 4 speed transmission. The 400 V8 was the biggest engine available with a 4 speed.
