Rare all original un-restored 1975 Datsun 280z , 4 speed, Starts and runs good, Everything works as it should, Fuel injection is good! It even has the original spare tire, I am selling this for a friend, He has a clear title in hand, It has been covered up in a climate controlled garage for at least 25 years, It only has 106, 000 miles on it! He occasionally starts it and runs fresh gas in it. It has a few minor rust places, The drivers seat is wore with tears. look at the pictures, Original numbers matching.
Ask questions... I'm sure if you're looking at this you know what it is but just in case here is a little info:
The 240z was the original introduced in 1969. It had a 2.4 litre engine and was produced until 1973
The 260z was made for 1 year, 1974 there were two versions that year. The early 260 was more like a 240z then the later 74 was similar to the 280 but with the smaller 2.6 liter engine.
1975 is the first year of the 280z and the L28 2.8 liter engine, The first year of fuel injection. In my opinion the 75 is the most desirable year. The 280z stayed basically the same until 1979
In 1979 the 280zx was released, it was a much bigger heavier not pretty body with the same drivetrain as the 280z... the legendary z had now became too big and heavy, the legendary performance was gone.
If you want a classic original Datsun to restore as a rare collectors item this would make a great car for that... Or if you want to build a badass speed demon Z Car this year has the best engine, N42 head, transmission and rear end for that.
