1977 International Scout II Traveler with the 345 5.7 liter V8-At time of writing this odometer has 54, 627 miles.-Clean Virginia title with mileage marked as exempt.-Removable roof.-Minimal rust for a Scout with the only hot spot being along the left side under the roof.-Previous owner installed steel a steel bed.-Automatic transmission.-4WD works but hubs have to be locked contrary to the label in the glove box.-Comes with full size spare tire.-Gas gauge doesn't work.-Radio doesn't work.-Clock doesn't work.-Exhaust leak near bell housing.-Cup holders on center console.-Lap seat belts-No carpet in the interior.
The odometer only goes up to 5 digits so could be more.Will soon have a Texas state inspection.
I have the hatchback in the bed. Car has mainly been used as weekend car but once used it to haul about 3000 lbs of heavy equipment with ease. From what I've seen on International Harvester forums people keep repeating the phrase that these were geared to tow a house. Has the 345 5.7 liter V8 and was the largest engine offered by International back in the day. This same engine is found in long haul trucks and school buses from that era. Scout is the Traveler model with the extended wheelbase.
