A true warehouse find International Scout story: This is an original 1978 International Harvester Scout II 4 x 4. 5661 ORIGINAL MILES. Stored inside out of the weather for decades. Purchased direct from the Scout dealer in Sweet Valley, PA from the Fort Wayne plant in 1978. Two tone - white top and gray body. This is a diamond in the rough and I'll explain. The body is more than decent in my book. Essentially solid with minimal rust. However, the drivers side floor has rust. This section may or may not need cut and weld. There's some rust on edges near window frames and on left rear wheel well. Dent front right corner. Two rust spots right front door. Body work restoration isn't major in my opinion. Whatever rust is there was from warehouse storage I believe. See pictures. Photographed just as stored for many years so with a wash it'll bring out its true potential. Needs real good bath as stored inside dirt basement for decades. Automatic. V8. V-345A engine. 2 spd. Trans. Case. 3 Speed Xmsn.
For those of you who question the mileage, I've had my collector car expert and confirm this is 5661 original miles. There are a number of confirming tell tale signs: The engine for example has original paint where it wouldn't with higher mileage. The owner had the habit of buying vehicles new and then storing them without driving them much. Serious inquiries only. Ask any questions.
