Was trying to hang on to this one, but just can't keep them all.
Owned for almost three years now, I have done all necessary mechanical... and the engine. . well, I've owned 14 V12 Jaguars, but this is the only Series 2 ( pre HE ) engine. Now that I've experienced this, I will own ONLY pre HE V12's ! !
Runs as brand new, with a few miles, so it revs quicker. Truly remarkable. A couple minor oil drips, but nothing of concern. Body is incredibly solid. Paint is at least 25 years old ( original colour ). Previous owner had replaced an area of both front floor pans, with parts from a donor car... so they're correct. VERY minor rust at rear, where roll pan meets the spare tire well. Other than that, no rust underside at all. Seats have a few areas where the stitching is pulling apart, but still soft and comfortable. Car is fast ( faster than the 80 and newer V12's ), and of course as expected, Jaguar smooth. Driven daily over the past few summers... car has proven to be totally reliable.
