We are selling our beautiful 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis. This car is 100% original; un-restored. It is in immaculate shape inside and out! The car has 96, 000 original miles on it. It has the 400 cubic inch V-8 engine with a C-6 automatic transmission. This car is completely loaded with every available option-except a sunroof & vinyl top. It has Air, tilt, cruise, power windows, power locks, power seats, Am/FM radio with cassette player, power antenna, electronic trunk opener. This car also has the hidden headlights- which were a Mercury trademark in the 1970's. There are a lot of subtle items that are often missing on older cars like this. This particular car has the proper labels in the trunk and under the hood. It has the correct jack, tire wrench, carpet divider in the trunk, etc... The correct factory paint markings are still clearly visible under the hood, on the valve covers, and on the frame. This car has factory wheel skirts. This is the last year they made a Big Mercury as the cars were downsized in 1979 with the introduction of the Monterey Series. The previous owner had this car for over 15 years. It has always been stored inside. This car was purchased from an estate sale, and currently resides in Aberdeen, SD. It still has the dealer sticker on the trunk from a dealership in Ellendale, ND. (The dealer is no longer in business) I feel it is safe to assume that this car most likely spent it's entire life in this area of the Dakotas. This car drives better and is WAY more comfortable than most new ones. It is a true survivor car that commands respect and continues to turn heads wherever you drive it!!
