| “I put this vehicle together with the intent of driving from Florida to texas then down athrough central America and back. I bought a rust free 1978 fj40 in Colorado and sent it to Phroffitt's Cruisers for a complete mechanical overhaul. I wanted my dream vehicle.. the best of everything. I had them install a 1HZ toyota diesel for reliability, superior power, 25mile per gal fuel economy, no diesel smell and very quiet engine with a h55 5 speed trans. Add Power steering,Air conditioning, disc breaks all around, ARB front and rear lockers. I had a rear 22gal fuel tank installed for going very long range with out needing to refuel. What you have is a very fun and comfortable fj40 both on and off road. the vehicle was then shipped to orlando FL. where it was disassembled to the bare frame and refinished and reassembled. This vehicle is amazing. why am i selling my dream rig. in the 2yrs and $80,000 it took me to get everything done we got pregnant and had a child, then another.” |
