Up for sale is a 1979 MG B. This is probably one of the nicest specimens you'll find if you're looking for one of these. Body is 100% and there is no rust. The stainless steel trim has been removed, restored and polished. The car has several items that are new including top, top frame, ignition components, tires (4000 mi, ) brakes, and clutch. The Odometer shows 64, xxx but I can not guarantee if that is correct or not since when I got it the car it had a VA title and was exempt. I have no reason to believe it isn't original miles. All gauges function. The car has a new stereo that is powerful enough to over power the wind noise. It's a Pioneer head unit, 5 Memphis Audio front speakers and a pair of Pioneer 6x9's in the rear in Scosche boxes. Originally the 1979 model had a single carb set up. This car had the conversion done and has the twin Weber carbs, which perform better and match the earlier models. This car has a catalytic converter and new exhaust which was done by the shop in Myerstown. It was inspected prior to changing over to PA Classic Car registration and would pass again with no issues. Here is everything that is wrong with this car. .. 1. You have to let the RPM's drop before shifting from 2nd to 3rd or you will get a slight crunch. Works perfectly if you just let the RPM's drop. 2. ventilation system only works on defrost. If you want air to come out of the cabin vents, you would need to fix this. 3. No washer fluid comes out of the jets. The wipers work fine and the pump runs. . the tubes that carry the washer fluid from the tank to the jets are dry-rotted. Replace these tubes and you'll probably be fine. I don't drive it in the rain, so I didn't worry much about it. Car always starts right up and runs beautifully. It is garage kept and plugged in to trickle charger year round. Local pickup is most convenient. I have a trailer and can deliver to radius of 150 miles from 17046 for $2/ mile in addition to the sale price of the vehicle. Shipping is also OK as long as you make all of the arrangements.
