Every Spring I start up the Fiat after a winter of sitting covered in the driveway, to find out what needs to be taken care of before I put it into service for the warm-weather months. Usually it’s something like wipers or headlights, but this year it was brakes. As in, there were none. Pedal goes straight to the floor. So after many years of summertime enjoyment, I’ve decided to sell my Fiat Spider 2000.
In addition to the brakes, the wipers are not functioning properly and the lock on the drivers-side door needs to be repaired. The passenger vent window is missing its latch. It may need a new battery. The convertible top is relatively new, but the interior is in pretty poor condition.
On the positive side, the body is in pretty good condition. Not perfect, but these cars are know for rusting. This one didn’t. Tires are good. The original paint looks pretty good, as you can see from the photos. I have a cover for it and the original owner's manual.
The buyer of this car must pick it up here and it must be towed. It can’t be driven away. You will spend some money to get it on the road. But it will be worth it. It’s fun. People will stare and comment. I’ll miss that part.
