Price: US $21,750.00
I'm getting old, and as such, getting in and out of this vehicle is becoming very difficult due to an old neck injury.. So I'm reluctantly putting this beloved Scout up for sale.
This is a 1980 Scout that has now been transformed into a beautiful SSII (clone). For you non scout aficionados, International never made a SSII in 1980, hence the SSII
clone
designation. I’ve owned 2 original SSIIs throughout the years but I wanted to have one that wasn’t original so I wouldn’t be accused of “destroying” a true SSII by modifying it. What you see in the pictures is the final results.
After the frame and drivetrain component housings were sandblasted, epoxy primed and coated with Por-15, the transformation began. A complete fiberglass body, fenders, & hood were added next. The plan was to change this vehicle into a kick-ass 4x4 street and dune runner SSII, AND still be a DAILY driver. To that end, it came out GREAT!

This Scout won 1st place in the “Scout Street/Wild-Modified” class in
2014, 2015 & 2016 at the Scout Nationals
….. It's been on the road since June of 2014 and the odometer just turned over 2, 000 miles. This year alone, I put less than 250 miles on it. Sad. .
Does this SSII need anything? Well, yes, a few minor things. I haven’t mounted an E-Brake yet, and the horn isn't hooked up..
As an added bonus, if you buy this scout, I will deliver within a 500 mile radius of Fremont, OH for free. Vehicle must be paid in full before delivery..
Please call if you have any questions..(4196803668) Also have many more pictures.
I reserve the right to end this auction early as this vehicle is also for sale locally.
