1980 Turbo T Top Trans Am Original 301 Turbo replaced with a 400 cid Pontiac motor runs strong, mild cam. I have owned this car since 2003. The main reason i bought this car is that it was 99% rust free. The two issues we found while restoring the car were one spot under the drivers pedals that needed a patch and some minor rust repair around the T Top opening. I replaced the front passengers fender with a NOS because the previous owner used too much filler to repair a dent and it also had some surface rust at the bottom. The nose cone was also replaced with a NOS one that i located years ago. The interior has new plastic dyed to match. The seats are good except the drivers seat where there is a tear in the back rest and the seams are splitting in the seat bottom. The dash has no cracks and the carpet is new. The back window shelf is new. The console is original and in good shape. The door panels are original and in decent shape as well. The car was white with a Turbo hood and dark blue interior. It is now silver with a shaker hood. The suspension is stock but new. We went with urethane bushings new leaf and coils springs. Disc brakes all around are new. New booster and master Cylinder. The under carriage is clean but not show quality. I have many receipts to go with this car from Ames Performance. The bad: Small chip on the edge of the door and cracked paint on the rear bumper cover.
