For Sale is my 1981 Triumph TR7(?). Why the question mark? As you can see from the pictures, there is very little TR7 left in her. The engine is a Buick 3.8 litre V-6 using a John's Cars installation kit. The 5 speed is from a Camaro and is connected to a Ford Mustang GT 8.8 in. rear end with 2.71 gears and limited slip. She has four wheel disc brakes. The fronts are Wilwood aluminum 4 piston calipers with 11 vented, and drilled rotors. The rears are SSBC calipers with 10.25 vented, drilled and slotted rotors. The chrome booster/master cylinder assembly is GM. She has Koni adjustable shocks at all four corners with competition springs and poly bushings. The wheels are Konig Lace and she sits on 205/60/R15 Kuhmo tires. The body work is in excellent condition with the four fenders and the front air dam made of fiberglass and are patterned off of a 944 Porsche. She is a blast to drive and she does turn heads! If I had a dollar for every time that I was asked What kind of car is that? I'd be a rich man.
Now the bad part: She is a 1981 California car which means she has to be smogged. She always passes, but until the powers to be realize that she is not a daily driver (usually less that 500 miles per year) she has to pass smog every two years. That being said, the engine is stock which is still much better that the anemic 4 cylinder. I also broke off an A/C fitting, so, as of now, the A/C does not work.
She is a great car that has won some awards at various car shows.
