Opportunities don't come along like this very often; bring home a Corvette with 2, 451 miles that literally sat in one spot indoors for more than 30 years! All four tires were flat, no battery was in the car; super thick layer of dust even though it was stored indoors. The saving grace was the dry southwestern climate, no rodents or insects and the interior remained extremely clean. After bringing it home we attempted to bleed the brakes and quickly realized it would be easier to replace all four calipers. Next the radiator had seepage, in went a new radiator; after draining the fuel we replaced the filter and in tank fuel pump. with all of that it fired right up and seems to run just as it should. I should also mention the oil was changed for the very first time as well. I have approached this project with the NCRS award winner in mind; keep it as original as possible. Top Flight will be easy with only the items mentioned above have been changed from Factory Original. To be a daily driver it will need new tires, the originals do not maintain constant air pressure and have flat spots from sitting for such a long time. the only issues I have noted so far are a stuck heater control and an inoperable power antenna.
