We are selling a 1985 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate, 4 cyl 2.0 engine, 5 speed manual trans, 74, 926 original miles, red with black interior and black top. Clear title in hand. Runs and drives, but needs some cosmetic attention.
What needs repaired on the car is as follows;
- The lower body rockers are rusted out (see pics). Replacement rocker sections are available online- The back half of the exhaust system is missing from the muffler to the tail pipe. It was missing when I got the car. It is also available online for purchase- The dash has a few minor cracks and the passenger seat is starting to split at the seams - The RH front body around the headlight has some body and paint issues - The radio antenna hole has some rusting around the whole that needs to be addressed to get the antenna to sit properly again.- MECHANICAL - There is an ignition problem. Car will start fine with ignition and key, but will not shut off when you turn the key to the off position. I have read it is a common problem on these cars.
There is a lot of good still going for this car though. Car is mechanically sound motor and transmission wise other than the ignition issue. Interior is in good shape for its age, top is in excellent condition, along with much more. Very cool project for any European car enthusiast looking for a small project.
