Here we have a Completely original 1985 AMC Renault Encore with 71k miles but it was towed behind a Winnebago for camping so it actually has less miles on the engine and tranz. The original owner says it has only around 50k miles. Its been driven gently by a woman who was the original owner winner of the car. She filled out a Coca-Cola store display free car giveaway and won 3 days later. A copy of the pictures from when she picked up the car are included. Coca-Cola was actually the 1st owners. Its in great running condition currently up to specs and road ready. It was used as a get around car when traveling/camping. Its become a weekend driver once a week one mile each way to church every Sunday. A local well know reputable service station performed routine maintenance. Many parts have been replaced recently. It has a new starter, brakes, some exhaust work and many other things. There is a folder of maintenance repairs & receipts for parts.
All original manuals factory paper's warranty papers are included. Horn works! It's a neat car being a mix between American & French car companies. The hood opens backwards. It kinda looks like the movie Back to the future AMC Delorian looking at It from the front. It has a 4 cylinder engine with a 4 speed manual standard transmission/stick shift.
The interior is in great condition with the seats and headliner like new. The carpet is in good shape as well. The door panels have some blemishes not perfect. The dash is good with no cracks. The windshield is perfect. The rubber window squeegee at the bottom of windows are brittle & cracking. The back hatch needs shocks replaced. A piece of wood is used to keep it open. The sun roof has minor leak.
The air conditioning does not work. The odometer stopped working since its been sitting so there's a few hundred more miles added. And the speedometer lever has broken off ( a common thing with these cars)
The body is in good shape No dents. A piece of molding is missing behind passenger window. Has minor rust in a few spots mainly around the windows and behind the front wheel wells that may have been repaired at one point. Its a great car and a Rare find. Not many of theses left in running condition.
