The paint is shiny
Inside of the car is as beautiful as the outside.
This ultra rare Volvo belonged to a 93-year-old grandmother.
She has been the only owner since 1985. She bought it from Europe and shipped it to Maryland.
She used this Volvo just for church visits and weekend shoppings.
All of the maintenance was done by a local Volvo Dealer in Maryland, VA.
You can see some receipts and other papers from 1985.
Unfortunately, she is not able to drive a car anymore.
This Volvo was in the garage during the years she operated it but last year she put it in the driveway.
Finally, I offered to buy it and she agreed.
After I bought it, my son and I decided to “Make Volvo Great Again”
As you can see in the old pictures and videos, it was not in good condition.
We found the best Volvo Mechanic of Virginia in Chantilly. He was more excited than us.
We spent 3-4 months and thousands of dollars on it.
We bought a lot of original parts from Europe with the assistance of my friends in Sweden, Germany and Holland.
It was the most difficult part of this job.
At first, the engine was not running. My mechanic put his hours, days, and weeks on it.
Sometimes, he would fall asleep in the rear seat. However, it finally worked like a champ.
After the mechanical job was done,
We started the paint job.
We found the best classic paint body shop in Virginia. We used the original Volvo paint and color.
This was the most expensive part of the job.
We found some original trims, lights, and seats from Europe, Wisconsin and California.
We never wanted to use aftermarket items. We chose used but original parts for the body.
After a long time and many expenses, we finally finished it.
This Volvo is like it just came out from a time tunnel...
It is just like a Volvo dealer showroom car from 1985.
We drove it in the streets of Virginia. You can watch the videos.
At some red light stops, people rolled down their windows and took pictures.
Some people at the gas stations asked if we would like to sell it.
