This Lotus has been meticulously maintained by the previous owners and it features its original Silver BBS wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A 235/60/R15 and 195/60/R15 tires. It features just over 42500 miles on the e...ngine and body and truly runs just as it did the day it drove out of the factory. This Condition 1 Lotus is currently being maintained by one of the ones in charge with diagnostic development and the service manual writer for the Esprit back in 1986 and offered his services to the new owner. Some key services that have been performed over the past 3 years include; throttle cable and housing shifter pivot bushing head lamp motor service flywheel clutch and transmission brake system bled drivers power window switch weather-stripping on doors – receipts for all of this have added up over $10000 and will come along with the vehicle. This 2.2L Type 910 Turbo Engine with 5-speed gearbox has the rare more powerful 215HP HCI (high compression injected) variant that added Bosch Ke-Jetronic fuel injection a catalytic converter thus becoming the first injected Lotus. With a total production of 215 in 1986 this Lotus built in February of '86 is one of if not the first fuel injected Esprits on the market.
