Just over 300 1986 900 convertibles were built. Here is your chance to have a rare one year only flat nose SAAB convertible. A friend of mine owned this for many years. He sold it to another friend a few years ago. There were plans to restore it, so body work was started. There was a repair the the RF fender years ago. This section was replaced recently with a donor front half. The wheel wells are not rusty. Most recent owner has a dislike of mouldings so he removed all of them and started smoothing the spot welds. Most of them are still visible. He also welded in all the square mounting holes for the air flow kit. The transmission oil cooler has been replaced with a larger unit and relocated to the engine compartment. The battery has also been moved to the trunk (though it does still fit in the factory spot). Roof in in great shape as it has been replaced at some point. Interior is rough but complete. Car does start and run well. Drives and shifts fine. Brakes are rusty from sitting and tires are quite dry rotted but hold air. I work with many shipping companies and can supply a referral.
