| “This 1986 westfalia vanagon has a newly rebuilt subaru engine. The engine including install was $14,000.00. It was installed in 2017 by a VW service/dealer. The engine was $5,000 more to install than the Go Westy engine and recommended by friends and service facility. The reason being as it will, "last forever and has more power". Other upgrades in the 7 years I have owned the vehicle include: New grill, heavy duty bumpers, fly wheel, clutch, tent pop up, heavy duty mats, storage compartment between seats, starter, tires, rims, shocks, thule box, yakima bike rack, AM/FM radio plus CD with speakers. New shelving where refrigerator was. Took fridge out because it did not work well or hold much, I like having the extra storage and cooler over small fridge. There have also been other parts and pieces replaced on this old guy! I have $23,000.00 into this vehicle and he should be road worthy and ready for the next adventure. I hate to even sell this cool old nostalgic vehicle:(” |
