The Elan M100 you are looking at is the turbocharged variant producing approximately 162 horsepower. The motor in this Lotus is an Isuzu sourced 1, 588cc turbocharged inline 4 cylinder. This motor was extensively modified by Lotus. Some of the modifications to the engine include a new exhaust system, rerouted intake... plumbing, improved engine suspension, and modifications to the engine control unit to improve torque and boost response.
Within the last 2 years a lot of work, time, and money has gone into making this Lotus the beautiful car it is today. Within these two years the car was painted with PPG paint, a new convertible top was installed, the seats were reupholstered, new carpeting was installed, and general maintenance was performed. This car has always been garage kept.
These M100’s are known for their controllability and excellent handling. It is not often that a front wheel drive sports car performs as well as this in the corners. Because of the extremely light weight of this Lotus, the estimated 162hp will get you to your destination in a hurry.
