For sale is my 1993 325i. This is a very rare and hard to find model in this condition. The reason it is so rare is because it has the desirable and hard to find 5 speed transmission. It also comes in the most popular color combination of white exterior over beige interior. I have owned the car for about 10 years. The previous two owners were both BMW mechanics out of the same shop. When I purchased the car it had 225, 000 miles on the clock and had just had the engine overhauled. This car was Motor Trends car of the year in 1993. It was nicknamed The Little Executive. Since I was in the insurance business I knew it was the car for me. I recently retired to my country farm and find that I no longer drive the car enough to warrant keeping it so I would like to pass it on to someone who appreciates the value and stunning looks of the car. When I retired last year at 62 I had the car completely detailed with no expense spared. Seats out cleaned and carpet. Motor completely detailed. Paint was cut waxed and sealed to a fantastic finish. Car was then fitted with new tires. Car was then sent to the paint shop and I had the trunk, rear bumper, front bumper, and side panels painted. When it was all said and done I had about $2000 invested in the refurbish. By the way when I first got the car I had the front seats recovered and the headliner replaced. The car is also fitted with a short shifter which makes it even more of a blast to drive. I also recently replaced the battery and the crankshaft sensor. With the new sensor I decided to see how high I could get the MPG by doing some simple hyper mileing. I was able to get the car to an astounding 33.1 MPG. Now just driving at a regular pace the car currently gets 29.4 MPG and that is AROUND TOWN. This is why enthusiats prefer the rare 5 speed with overdrive. The faster you get the car to 5th the better the MPG. It really is that simple it puts it in the drivers hands. Now don't get me wrong if you want to go fast this car will EASILY do 100 MPH plus. Over the last couple of years I have replaced the water pump and the radiator and I am sure a few other things as well. As you can see the car is fitted with 17 inch ASA alloys. They look great on the car as people comment on them at times. However the clear coat is coming off in places and they do have some curb rash. But from 10 ft. they are fantastic. You can refurb them or replace them or leave them as they are as I have done. The are only 2 other known issues with the car. The passengers side will need a new window regulator as it recently went out. The window is completely rolled up and sealed. The drivers side was replaced about 3 years ago. The other issue is with the sunroof. About 5 yrs. ago it started giving problems so I closed it and forgot about it. It could be a simple fix I just do not know because I never had it checked out. Absolutely no leaks.
To sum it all up this car really is in fantastic shape for a 23 year old BMW. I have owned everything from a 7 series to an M3 to an M Coupe and a 328is and from an everyday drivers standpoint this is the one I would pick if I were planning on driving it as an everyday car. My wife says this one sits and drives the best out of all the ones we have owned. Truely destined to be be a collector car as the simpler OD1 cars are becoming harder and harder to find especially in this condition and configuration and you are sure to enjoy it immensely as I have. As a wise old car dealer once told me it is not the miles on a car so much as it is the CONDITION OF THE CAR. In other words you might find one with half the miles that has been looked after poorly for less money and then sinking a fortune in it to bring it up to speed. The backseat of this car has been used very little. If you have been looking for a really nice early OBD1 BMW 325i you need look no farthur you have found it. Car is about as nice as you will find. Buy it Now and you will not be disappointed I can promise you that.
